We take your privacy seriously, and as such we believe in collecting only the minimum amount of personal information from you that is necessary to deliver the service.
When you sign up as a member (all levels including Free), we will collect the information contained in the registration form which will include name and email address. Once you have registered for an account, we also ask for further information including your address.
When you upload a digital product to our servers, or register a product hosted on your own servers, we also ask for your PayPal email address which is used only for the purpose of routing payments from the digital product you sell.
All files that you upload to our servers are stored in a specific folder. We do not publish the file path at any time. When a customers makes a purchase of your digital product, they are sent a unique, time-controlled link to download the file without seeing the file path. You can choose to permanently delete the file from our servers at any time.
We reserve the right to permanently delete any product file from our servers for any of the following reasons:
– no sales have been recorded against the product for three months
– you cancel your member subscription level either by requesting cancellation, stopping your automatic monthly payment, or if your automatic monthly payments stop for any other reason
– you have violated our terms of service
For the avoidance of doubt, we define a ‘customer’ as someone who purchases a digital product from one of our members.
When you make a purchase of one of our members’ digital products, you will be directed to PayPal to complete the purchase. During the transaction certain data is passed from PayPal back to our website. This includes (but not limited to) your name, address and email address. At no time do we handle or store your credit or debit card details.
We use this data in order to verify your purchase and will use your email address to send a unique download link for the digital product you have purchased.
We do not use your personal data for any other purpose than to deliver your purchased digital product or to communicate with you, PayPal or the Member who owns the digital product on matters relating to your transaction.
Your data relating to the transaction is also shared with the Member who owns and administers the digital product you purchased. This is necessary in order for the Member to verify your transaction and re-send any download links if requested by you.
For users that register on our website, we store the personal information provided in a user profile. Members can request to close their account and remove all their data at any time by submitting a support ticket or emailing support@digitalproductcart.com.
If you are a Member or a Customer on this website you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
